Australind home to WA’s latest millionaire
Western Australians in the Shire of Harvey should check their tickets, after a WA ticket won a $1 million prize in last night’s Millionaire Medley draw.
WA’s winning ticket was the only Division One winner across the country last night, sold by newsXpress Treendale in Australind.
The South West ticket becomes WA’s second Division One win in the region this year after a Margaret River local took home a Saturday Lotto Division One prize of $741,000 in January, thanks to his favourite family numbers.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said last night’s win comes hot on the heels of a WA ticket winning the entire $15 million OZ Lotto jackpot on Tuesday thanks to a ticket purchased through Lotterywest Play Online. The ticket remains unclaimed.
“We are eagerly waiting to hear from Tuesday night’s OZ Lotto winner, who we have not been able to contact, and does not appear to have checked their Lotterywest Play Online account,” she said.
“We look forward to welcoming Tuesday’s OZ Lotto winner, and last night’s winner into the Lotterywest Winners Room soon to hear how they will celebrate these life-changing prizes.
“Last nights win becomes WA’s 25th Division One win of 2026, with WA players sharing in more than $60 million in Division One prizes so far this year.”
In more good news, a WA player also won a Division Two Millionaire Medley prize of more than $8,000 last night with a ticket purchased from Morley North News.
Thanks to WA players and retailers, Lotterywest delivers hundreds of grants each year to community groups and not-for-profits across the State.
A Lotterywest grant of $326,552 is supporting the Binningup Skatepark project, which will create a modern, inclusive and accessible skatepark for families and visitors to enjoy.
WA players have the chance to become a multi-millionaire in tonight’s $10 million Powerball jackpot.
Tickets are available in-store, online or through the Lotterywest App.
